How I got here

The Journey

01 · In the trenches

I have spent years in the trenches of engineering, not just managing teams, but building them from scratch. From early-stage startups figuring out their first architecture decisions to growth-stage SMEs scaling across geographies, I have been in the room where hard technical choices get made.

02 · The realization

Along the way, I realized something: most startups and SMEs don’t fail because of bad technology. They fail because of bad technology decisions. Wrong hires, wrong architecture, wrong timing, wrong partners. The tech works fine in isolation. It’s the strategy around it that breaks.

03 · Why I advise

That realization is what led me to consulting. I wanted to help founders and business owners avoid the expensive mistakes I had seen (and sometimes made), and give them the kind of senior technical guidance that usually comes only with a full-time CTO hire.

Principles

What I Believe

Most startups and SMEs don’t need more developers. They need direction. They need someone who can look at the big picture and make tough calls, not someone who will tell them what they want to hear.

I believe in building engineering organizations that are self-sustaining, not ones that create dependency. My goal in every engagement is to make myself unnecessary: to leave behind systems, processes, and leaders that can run without me.

What I Stand For

  • Honesty over comfort. I will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear
  • Execution over theory. Strategies are worthless without follow-through
  • Ownership over dependency. I build things that outlast my engagement
  • Clarity over complexity. The best solutions are the simplest ones

What I Refuse to Do

  • Build vanity engineering teams that look impressive but deliver nothing
  • Recommend tools or hires just to increase billing
  • Give generic advice that could apply to any company
  • Stay longer than I am needed

“I don’t build vanity engineering teams. I build scalable execution systems.”

I’ll Help You Build Something That Lasts.
